I know my last post said I will banish negativity but I have hit rock bottom again. So I just can’t ignore the facts that I’m doing something wrong.

Anyway, I have accumulated over 10,000 EC credits and selling it USD$15 which I think is way below market price. But I need cash fast so this is the quickest way I can think of.

Update:

Sold 10,000 EC credits for $14 via direct PayPal transfer. I advertised in the F0rum section of Entrecard website. It’s a dollar short of what I wanted but at least I have some cash now.

I guess I have to turn over a new leaf and not post so much about the negative aspects of my financial woes at the moment. I read from blogs like StevePavlina.com about the power of attraction. It seems that if you embrace negativity, you tend to attract negative events in your life. For example, if you are so immersed in thinking about how deep in debt you are, you are just going to attract events that will get you deeper into debts. I believe in the power of attraction. The good thing is the opposite is also true. If you think and align your actions positively, you will attract positive vibrations and events that will be beneficial to you. All this sounded like mumbo jumbo to me in the beginning but I’m starting to believe it.

Every morning when I wake up I put into my mind that I will be attracting money or at least open my mind to the possibility that I can discover new ways or find new avenues of getting more money.

At least this morning, this piece of good news was shown on my Google Adsense dashboard:

I just reached the USD 100 threshold and can cash out the money. This will certainly help out a little in my battle against my credit card debt.

Was desperate for some money today as I am literally broke. Credit cards all maxed out and I do not want to borrow from friends. One piece of good news was the Entrecard credits I’ve accumulated over the weeks was about 6000. Tried my luck to sell it over at the EC forums and someone bought it for $14. Thanks Tom!

I know it’s a bit below market value. In fact an EC forum member lectured me on this - telling me that the market price is USD 3 for 1000 EC credits. I’m sorry for spoiling the market price for EC sellers but it’s only this one sale and I’m just desperate for cash. Sorry to the EC community. I will sell them at the standard rates the next time around. Promise.

You know you really hit rock bottom when you have to go back to your parents and ask for money. Yeah I had to ask for money to pay off my rent. After so many years of being independant, this is an all time low for me :( 

Credit card debt has risen to 6,000 dollars.

I have to get out of this rut. Definitely must pull myself together and look for a job before the end of the month when all the bills come pouring in again.

I’ve taken the plunge and quit my job a few months ago.

Unlike other success stories, this one unfortunately is not . Make money online. Sheesh !! What was I thinking!!

I pretty much regret my decision now as Google’s recent penalizing exercise has resulted in 4 of my money making blogs being relagated to PR 0. Since most of my money came from paid post, this was a severe blow to my online income. That’s a bad decision on my part to rely too much on one source of income. Lesson learnt.

It’s gotten so bad that I’m now in credit card debt. I’ve been borrowing cash from my credit card and have been in denial. I keep thinking I will make it. I will change the situation I’m in. However, I must face to the fact that it’s going to be hard and I have to brave and humble enough to take up menial jobs to make ends meet.

I owe my credit card company 5533.00 which I will have to pay back. I’m not ashamed of owning up to failure so that in future when I get out of debt I can see how bad things were and how I got through it.

Initially, the plan was to document my successes online on this blog. I have to swallow my pride and now blog about my struggles to survive after quitting my job and trying to earn online.

Some reasons why blogs starts die off is sickness, holidays, and the dreaded writer’s block. Truth be told my reason is because of a combination laziness and tiredness from full time work. However, I’m determined to revive this dying blog. So some of the steps I will take is as follows:

1. Get a healthier diet

Food controls your energy levels so I’m going to eat more healthier for the month of April. Less fast foods and more fruits and vegetables. It’s that simple.

2. Sleep better

Force myself to take naps whenever I can in order to keep my mind fresh

3. Don’t read blogs

At least not using browsers. It’s a waste of time to browse aimlessly. I’m going to read content only via news readers such as Google Reader.

4. Blog about my failures and success

It’s always hard to talk about my failures in experiments and it’s always easier to boast about successes. Both must be talked about and I will blog more on them.

So far my traffic gain is purely from Entrecard and I must say it’s a fantastic traffic tool for newbie blogs. However, I’m sure if coupled with other tools such as Stumble Upon, Blogging Zoom etc, the results will be even better.

Ok this was the first time I hit 300 credits in a day for Entrecard.

At first I used the list from powerdropping.com but found that the same list in a easier tabular format at AndrewOoi.com. However, I found that I only got 285 EC credits after I finished dropping on all 300 sites. I must have missed out a few. I went to the dashboard and finished off the other 15 by going to the top cards there and just surfed from those cards onwards till I hit this message:-

Took me 30 minutes while using Opera as my browser. I felt that Opera is faster and less memory intensive compared to FireFox. Also, I tried opening 50 tabs with FireFox and it became painfully slow. Opera however opened 50 tabs with no problem.

It’s very cheap to advertise on my blog. Hopefully by next week the credits to advertise here will go up and I can earn EC credits faster.

Ok I must admit I have completely dropped of the blogosphere these couple of weeks. Now I am back and there’s so much to catch up on. I’ve just joined Entrecard and many people say I’m too late to the boat. But I don’t believe that newcomers cannot benefit from Entrecard too.

That’s my hastily created Entrecard on the left. Will replace it something more presentable if I get the time.

After clicking on "Recheck queue" - all the comments were moved to the Akismet Spam folder.

Google has updated the PR ranks a few weeks ago. Frankly I’m a little guilty of starting out hot but losing steam after a few posts. My day job places heavy demands on my time and sucks out most of the energy in me so I don’t feel like blogging much after work or during my free time.

Another reason for me to be a PR0blogger!!

Anyway, I was a little afraid that Google may give a PR after being listed once or twice in Blogging Zoom. Thankfully, I’m still a PR ZERO. I mean, how can I write about being a PR0 when I don’t have a PR 0 right?

That gives me until 3 months to blog actively as a PR0 and prove to myself and everyone that PR0 blogs CAN make money.
